Tana Hachimangu Shrine
Tana Hachimangu Shrine is an old shrine with a history of over a thousand years. The "Sisimai", or lion dance, which is dedicated to the shrine at the annual September festival is loved by local people.
Tana Hachimangu Shrine is an old shrine with a history of over a thousand years. The current temple was renovated in 2009 due to its age. It is famous for its annual events, such as "Matomachi" held on January 6 and "Shishimai" held on September 1.

相模の地を見守ってきた鎮守様
田名八幡宮の歴史は古く、一説には延暦17年（799年）の創建とも伝えられています。天地社（天地大明神）が元々の氏神ともいわれているお社になります。
江戸時代には田名村の鎮守様として信仰されました。現在の社殿は老朽化していたために2009年に改築されたものとなります。

毎年1月6日に行われる「的祭（まとまち）」
「的祭（まとまち）」とは、その年の豊凶を占う伝統行事で、的場で弓を放ち、射た弓矢の結果で今年1年の実りを占うものです。
起源は源頼朝の時代といわれますが、「八幡宮縁起」には元禄時代ともされています。2001年に市指定民俗文化財（風俗慣習）に指定され、田名八幡宮的祭保存会が保持に取り組んでいます。
毎年9月1日に行われる「獅子舞」
毎年9月1日に行われる「獅子舞」は、昭和49(1974)年に復活した獅子舞で、地域を代表する民俗芸能です。男獅子（おじし）、女獅子（めじし）、子獅子（こじし）の三匹の獅子と、バンバ、天狗、花笠、笛、唄手によって構成されます。舞の後半に、女獅子が薮畳（やぶたたみ）とバンバによって隠される「女獅子隠し」の特色があります。
じんじい石とばんばあ石
天地社（天地大明神）の隣にひっそりと。
日照りが続き、農作物が枯れそうになったとき、この「ばんばあ石」を相模川に沈めると不思議と雨が降ったそうです。ただ、時として洪水も起こってしまい、その理由は横にある「じんじい石」の涙が怒りに代わって洪水となったとされたそうな。
日本昔話に出てきそうなお話です。
1月6日の「的祭」、9月1日の獅子舞は見どころです。
とても静かな住宅の中に佇む田名八幡宮ですが、年に2回行われる行事は非常に見ごたえがあります。
近くには「相模川ふれあい科学館アクアリウムさがみはら」もあり、相模川を散策しながら名所を巡るのもオススメです。

The grounds of Taimasan Muryokoji Temple are designated as a Sagamihara City Designated Historic Site, and have also been chosen as one of the "Top 50 Scenic Views in Kanagawa." The temple gate is a Sagamihara City Designated Tangible Cultural Property, and the Tokuhon Nenbutsu pagoda stored on the temple grounds is a Sagamihara City Registered Tangible Cultural Property.
