On this page, we offer information on support for foreign nationals at the time of disaster.
When large disasters take place, relevant information is provided in multiple languages on this page.
We also offer useful information for increasing foreign nationals’ awareness of disaster management.

CLAIR offers various useful tools for assisting foreign nationals in times of disaster.
This is a program to send newsletters to offer useful information in multiple languages a few times a month. You can receive the newsletter via both smartphone and PC. The information will be sent in times of disaster, too.
These forms are used to explain the state of illness or injury when non-Japanese speaking foreign nationals visit a hospital. The forms are translated into 23 languages by treatment department, with Japanese language written together.

App to view news and other programs offered by NHK World-JAPAN in multiple languages. It also has a service to notify emergency information on earthquake and tsunami via smartphone.
Information on safety and security is provided for tourists visiting Japan, such as warning and advisory on natural disasters, traffic hazard in transportation systems, and calling for attention to infectious diseases and heat shock.
When a large disaster takes place and K.P.G. Disaster Management Headquarters is established, the prefectural government and Kanagawa International Foundation jointly establish and operate “K.P.G. Multilingual Support Center in Times of Disaster” to provide information and counseling services to foreign nationals.
Interpreter and translator volunteers are recruited to help foreign nationals in times of disaster.
